DMCA Compliance

We're not a bunch of crooks. If your (or your company's) video is here without your permission, we'll be happy to remove it (or credit you with the work, if you prefer). As an online service provider with its content at the direction of users, GBStv is protected under the Safe Harbor provisions of the DMCA.

GBStv will not remove material unless we receive a legitimate DMCA takedown notice (with some exceptions, namely when we know exactly who you are). Don't fret, though; the process is very basic.

Our "Designated Agent"

Takedown notices must be submitted to a designated agent. Here's ours. It may change later, so be sure to check back.

How to form a proper takedown notice

Contact Information - We need a way to get in touch with you. Include a phone number, e-mail address, and a mailing address.
The work in question - Provide the title of your content and the exact URL to the video's detail page. For example, http://gbs.tv/detail/1234567
Good faith statement - State clearly that you have a good faith belief that the content hosted on our servers is not legally authorized.
"I am important" statement - State clearly (and be careful, because this is under penalty of perjury) that you are the copyright holder or are authorized to act for the copyright holder of the work in question.
Signature - Sign the document (typing your name is OK) and mail or e-mail it to us.

How we'll handle it

The moment we receive your notice (and verify it is valid) we will expeditiously remove the material from our servers in the fastest way possible. We don't want to see people losing money over a video being run on GBStv. That's wrong.

Counter Notification

The user who uploaded the material will be notified when the material is removed, and will have the opportunity to make a counter-notification in response to your takedown notification. If a valid counter notification is sent to us, we will forward the notification to the original complainer and put the video back online 10 days after receipt of the original takedown notice. However, the material will not be put back online if the takedown submitter decides to submit a court order preventing the user from doing so. It's a sticky situation, really, and it'd do you a lot of good to read up on it.
